George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watchman who was acquitted in the killing the unarmed, 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, reported News 4 Jax.

No other details were released regarding the arrest or the events leading up to the arrest. However, new outlets did note that Zimmerman is being held at John Polk Correctional Facility in Florida’s Seminole County.

Zimmerman was scheduled for a court appearance this morning. A Florida judge set a mere $5,000 bond for Zimmerman.
