During the 2004 primary season, Howard Dean put together a grassroots movement that forever changed American politics. This strategy was used by the Democrats to make huge gains in both the 2006 and 2008 elections. But just days after Barack Obama won the presidential election, this grassroots movement was disbanded and disowned by the Democratic Party, and the coalition of activists that had helped put the party in power were now being kicked out. Mike Papantonio talks with Ari Berman, author of the new book “Herding Donkeys,” who says that the Democrats will not be able to win again if they don’t embrace the movement that Dean created.
