There was a time in American history when the wealthiest Americans did their part to support our government and our country by simply paying taxes. Today however, they pay almost nothing in taxes, and they are the ones who are actually lending money to our federal government. As a result, they now own as much as 40% of our country’s national debt. Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. talks about how this happened, and why nobody noticed, with Robert Reich, former secretary of labor under president Bill Clinton, and Professor of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley.
