A dismal jobs report for the month of May has Republicans chomping at the bit, telling us that, even though we’ve seen 26 months of consecutive job growth, Obama is still terrible at creating jobs and handling our economy. But when you look at the numbers, it’s the public sector – government employees like teachers, firefighters, police officers – who are losing their jobs at unprecedented rates. And a Mitt Romney presidency would only make their situation much, much worse, and Mike Papantonio spoke with Bryce Covert from The Nation magazine recently about what Romney would do to public sector employees.
