These days there is a story a week coming out of places like Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, South Carolina, and Florida that genuinely would lead you to believe that the old south longs for the “Good Ole Days.”
But their sense of “Good ole Days” was when the black man was more minstrel danger and less an equal who is demanding equal opportunity to vote, equal opportunity for an education, and generally an equal opportunity to live as an equal. Still today, they would prefer to simply have Bo Jangles dancing for their pleasure – no demands, no exception.
