The world suffered a great loss when Robin Williams passed away this week. What’s sadder, is that hordes of heartless internet trolls and talking heads have come out of the woodwork to disrespect the passing of Williams. Rush Limbaugh is one of these monsters.

During his show yesterday, Limbaugh said that Williams committed suicide because the renowned actor and comedian held a “leftist worldview.” Basically, Williams’s politics are what killed him, which Limbaugh uses to imply that being a liberal will make someone depressed, negative, and miserable.

The leftist worldview is “one of pessimism and darkness, sadness — they’re never happy, are they?” said Limbaugh. “They’re always angry about something. No matter what they get, they’re always angry.”

Let us remind you that numerous studies have concluded that the actual makeup of the conservative, right-winger’s brain, people like Limbaugh, predisposes them to fear, anger, and negativity. Despite this fact, Limbaugh sloppily insists that it’s the leftist beliefs that depress people. Not only does Limbaugh say that leftist attitudes create pits of despair, he implies that leftists are just whiners who are never satisfied with what they have.

“If you notice, the coverage is focused on how much he had, but it wasn’t enough,” continued Limbaugh.

Limbaugh further disrespected Williams’s legacy by saying the media is pumping up his death to a false heroism fueled by the desire for attention: “They’re making such heroism out of this . . . To kill yourself is one way to get the media to spend a lot of time talking about you, if you want to be talked about.”

“Leftist worldviews” weren’t what caused Williams to end his life. It was a crippling, life-long battle with clinical depression and substance addiction that brought down the late actor. Limbaugh does nothing but squat all over a man’s memory; a man who has influenced and touched more people than Limbaugh could ever hope.

Robin Williams was everything, Limbaugh. You are nothing.
