On Sunday’s episode of NBC’s Meet the Press, Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders (VT) told host Chuck Todd that he’s considering running for president in 2016 as a Democrat.
Sanders, a self-proclaimed “Democratic Socialist,” is going to Iowa to see if he would have support.
“One of the reasons I’m going to Iowa is to get a sense of how people feel about it,” said Sanders. “The truth is, [there is] profound anger at both political parties; more and more people are becoming Independent.”
