Fox News has always been a champion of more fear and escalation of aggression. Now, with the rising threat of ISIS Fox News is hot on its own heels to make people in the U.S. fear that the wolf is literally just outside the door.
Thus, Fox News brings on Texas Sheriff Gary Painter, to help push that narrative of ISIS in the homeland. Painter’s opinions were right at home on Fox and Friends with Elisabeth Hasselbeck egging him along.
“Are you saying that ISIS is ready to come across posed to perhaps execute what they have threatened to do, attacks on the United States, drown us in our own blood?” she asked. “Is that what you’re saying?”
“I’m saying the border is wide open,” answered Painter. “We have found copies, or people along the border, have found Muslim clothing, they have found Quran books that are laying on the side of the trail. So we know that there are Muslims that have come across, have been smuggled into the United States.”
Let’s be clear on the level of excellent deduction that this officer of the law is engaging in. He, or someone on the border, has found a Quran on a trail on the desert along with some clothes that look “Muslim”. Therefore, ISIS is planning an attack and mounting troops on the border to engage in an all-out war on apple pie, democracy, baseball and wants nothing but to bathe us all in our own blood.
Painter continued the language of escalation right on over to CNN, “If they show their ugly head in our area, we’ll send them to hell. And I think the United States needs to get busy. And they need to bomb them, they need to take them out.”
