Not all Tea Party members are conspiracy theorists but when they are it’s like a match made in heaven. On an end-times radio program, which you can listen to here (though I wouldn’t recommend that), Tea Party congressional Representative Steve Stockman forwarded his theory that the recent spread of the Ebola virus and the United States’ lackluster response is all part of Obama’s plan to take control of the government through emergency powers.
It’s just bizarre there’s not enough action up front and I’m wondering if that’s – I’m not saying this – but I’m wondering if that’s intentional in order to create a greater crisis to use it as a blunt for to say, well, in order to solve this crisis we’re going to have to take control of the economy and individuals and so forth.
His suspicion continued:
It’s just a strong non-response, a strange way of handling it, and I think that if it does go forward and we do not control it, there may be an overreaction where the government starts taking away the rights of those that aren’t that necessarily involved or need that to happen. I hope that’s not that case, but you know this current government uses crisis to advance their philosophy and their agenda.
The host, who is himself fairly far out there, was completely on boar with what the Representative was suggesting. He went on to add his own two cents though that “Ebola could solve America’s problems with atheism, homosexuality, sexual promiscuity, pornography and abortion.”
“If Ebola becomes a global plague, you better make sure the blood of Jesus is upon you, you better make sure you have been marked by the angels so that you are protected by God. If not, you may be a candidate to meet the Grim Reaper,” Host Rick Wiles said.
These guys get along like birds of a feather and that should be really terrifying to rational people in Steve Stockman’s constituency.
