The Supreme Court has a ban on video being taken during oral arguments. This ban results in some of the most boring newscasting imaginable, which is a shame. The decisions made at the Supreme Court of very important and people should be paying attention to what’s taking place there. SCOTUS does release audio of oral arguments, but it fails to be compelling to most observers. John Oliver has an idea for how to make the Supreme Court more accessible to average viewers and he’s taking the steps to make it a reality.
