Jody Hice is the Republican nominee for Georgia’s 10th Congressional District. Jody Hice, it would seem, also believes that the real source of the Penn State sex abuse scandal rests in separation of church and state along with the lack of morality and god that is plaguing the United States. Voters should be wary of Jody Hice.
According to an interview from 2011 with End Times radio host Rick Wiles, surfaced by Right Wing Watch, Hice states that Penn State and pedophilia are the direct result of a morally bankrupt nation that has turned its back on God in favor of a secular culture.
“The whole issue is a morally bankrupt nation is where we are,” said Hice in the interview. “And you can go back decades as we first kicked the Bible out of schools and then prayer out of schools. And we’ve basically just been going downhill since then and you get what you get – you know, you kick God out.”
That’s not the only tragedy that the conservative politician has linked to a lack of God.
According to Right Wing Watch, Hice has also linked the Aurora and Virginia Tech massacres to evolution and abortion rights. He’s also made an effort to find a cause for the Sand Hook shootings in the separation of church and state.
