A Michigan judge sentenced a Christian radio host with WCSG to 25-50 years in prison for the molestation of an 11-year-old boy, reported Raw Story.
John Balyo, the 35-year-old man pleaded guilty to the crime, acted with the help of another man, Ronald Moser. Balyo paid Moser, on numerous occasions, to procure young boys in order for Balyo to engage in sexually inappropriate acts with them.
In this instance, the two men met at a Fairfield Inn where Balyo forced the child to perform sexual acts on him while Moser watched. Before the sexual acts, the two men showered with the child and took photographs of him. At Balyo’s hearing, he issued an apology to the child’s family, which fell on deaf ears.
“I just want to take this opportunity to say I am feeling very deep constant remorse for my actions,” said Balyo on Monday. “And I want the family to know I am very sorry and wish I could do something to correct that has been done.”
Before the hearing, the victim’s mother prepared a statement directed towards Balyo that was to be read by a child’s advocate: “Children should be loved and respected. They are not here to be used and abused. No child should be scared of people or of life itself. I think you should sit and rot in jail the rest of your miserable life.”
Balyo’s deplorable actions have cost him everything; his job canned him, his new wife divorced him, and he will likely spend the rest of his life in prison.
