The Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) is secret trade agreement being negotiated mostly behind closed doors between President Obama and several American corporations. The TPP has been noted several times as “NAFTA on steroids,” and we remember how bad NAFTA was after being implemented during the Clinton administration.
The TPP gives more rights to corporations who export jobs to other countries than the people who will work for those companies in said countries. Of the 29 provisions that make up TPP, 24 are designed to protect corporations against any legal ramifications in countries that take on the exported jobs.
