One of the favorite policies of Republicans to try and push through and prove their dedication to abusing the needy in this country is to try and tie welfare benefits to drug testing. In a number of states around the country, GOP politicians have either passed or are trying to pass laws that would make drug testing mandatory for welfare recipients.
