Following the attack on Charlie Hebdo, Fox News distributed remarks about Paris that would have had viewers believe that the city was under siege or occupied by an enemy force. Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo plans to sue Fox News for these lies, for claiming there were “no go” zones for non-Muslims.
Ms. Hidalgo told CNN, “When we’re insulted, and when we’ve had an image, then I think we’ll have to sue, I think we’ll have to go to court, in order to have these words removed. The image of Paris has been prejudiced and the honor of Paris has been prejudiced.”
