Fox News anchors will compare just about anything to welfare, except for corporate tax breaks, of course. During this Fox News segment, a panel of seven people babbled on about how public sector union workers are welfare recipients.
Their solution for cutting back on what they call “government excess”? They propose cutting the Department of Education, Department of Energy, and repealing Dodd-Frank because they think it’s nothing but bureaucratic nonsense. Cutting Education and Energy would demolish educational standards and slash scientific innovations.
If Dodd-Frank was repealed, then Wall Street banks would run around, unregulated, fomenting income inequality while breaking financial laws unimpeded.
Republicans are so simplistic. Any bit of policy that requires some effort and thought is dangerous and bad in their minds.
