Anchor for a Fox affiliate out of Ohio, Kristi Capel, used a racial slur on air this morning when describing Lady Gaga’s music.
Impressed by Gaga’s performance at last night’s Oscars, Capel, who was sitting next to her black co-anchor, said that usually, “It’s hard to hear her voice with all the jigaboo music… that she… whatever you want to call it… jigaboo. haha!”
Capel later apologized on Twitter, saying that she didn’t know jigaboo was actually a word or what it meant.
