The University of Oklahoma (OU) chapter of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) fraternity is under investigation after a video posted on social media showed several members singing a racist chant, reported RawStory.
The brothers of SAE were recorded singing and clapping their hands to a chant with the lyrics, “There will never be a n*gger at SAE” and “you can hang them from a tree.”
University of Oklahoma President David Boren launched an investigation and tweeted that “If the video is indeed of OU students, this behavior will not be tolerated and is contrary to all of our values.”
An update of RawStory’s report indicated that the SAE national headquarters issued a statement saying that the OU chapter will be shut down. SAE members have until midnight tonight to leave the campus.
