The proposed Republican budget is a complete disaster. It would increase defense spending, cut taxes for the rich, and, of course, repeal Obamacare.
Earlier this week, President Obama called the bill what it really is: “a path to prosperity for people who have already prospered.”
As a response to the abysmal GOP proposal, the Congressional Progressive Caucus has released what it calls the “People’s Budget,” which does everything the Republicans’ doesn’t. It would raise the minimum wage, make college completely free, expand Social Security, and give free pre-K to all American families.
