Former Minnesota Republican congresswoman Michele Bachmann said that the rapture is coming and that it’s President Barack Obama’s fault, reported The Huffington Post.
Bachmann says Obama’s Iran negotiations are to blame for the impending doom of the world.
“We need to realize how close this clock is getting to the midnight hour,” said Bachmann while on the End Times radio show. “We in our lifetime potentially could see Jesus Christ returning to earth and the rapture of the church. We see the destruction, but this was a destruction that was foretold.”
“We are literally watching, month by month, the speed move up to a level we’ve never seen before with these events,” continued Bachmann. “Barack Obama is intent. It is his number one goal to ensure that Iran has a nuclear weapon.”
The former congresswoman also considered Obama’s foreign policy as an indication of the rapture.
“If you look at the president’s rhetoric, and if you look at his actions, everything he has done has been to cut the legs out of Israel and lift up the agenda of radical Islam,” she said.
Bachmann isn’t some revolutionary religious prophet like so many before her have believed themselves to be. Crazy religious types have been preaching that the end is near ever since Christianity was formed. Bachmann is just adding to their steaming pile of paranoid rhetoric.
“Any nation that accepts God and his principles is blessed, and those who push away are cursed,” said Bachmann. “That’s what we’re seeing happen to the United States. We will suffer the consequences as a result.”
This kind of insanity actually held a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. It’s a good thing that she chose to release her craziness after she stepped down from Congress.
