On Tuesday’s episode of The 700 Club, Pat Robertson tried to work up some fear over Hillary Clinton. Robertson said that, if Hillary Clinton gets in office and gets her way, she’ll ban all criticism of politicians.
Robertson was really just trying to keep support for Citizens United strong with his conservative friends. He was trying to spin Clinton’s comments regarding overturning Citizens United via a constitutional amendment.
Robertson said, “Hillary actually wants to restrict the First Amendment right of free speech, so that they will protect the political class, so that people will be prohibited under the Constitution from criticizing politicians.”
