Former Florida governor Jeb Bush has spent the past week attempting to answer the question, “Knowing what we know now, would you have invaded Iraq?”
First, he told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly that yes, he would. Then he said on Sean Hannity’s radio show that he didn’t understand the question. Yesterday, he told an audience in Arizona that no, knowing what we know now, he would not have invaded Iraq.
The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart tried to make sense of Bush’s trouble answering a fairly straightforward question. When Stewart finally got to Jeb’s final answer, he said, “Thank you! Was that so hard?!”
You’d think that answering a single question wouldn’t be difficult for a two-term governor and probable 2016 presidential candidate, but… it was.
