TLC has decided to pull episodes of one of its most popular shows, 19 Kids and Counting, after Josh Duggar admitted that he had molested young girls when he was a teenager.
“We are deeply saddened and troubled by this heartbreaking situation, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family and victims at this difficult time,” TLC said in a statement on Friday, adding that episodes of the show were being immediately pulled off-air.
This is not the first time that a case of child molestation has cost the network a series. Last year, TLC cancelled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo after the star’s mother began dating a convicted pedophile.
