Wells Fargo aired a commercial featuring a lesbian couple learning sign language as they prepare to adopt a deaf little girl. Granted, Wells Fargo is a dirty Wall Street bank, but the commercial is kind of touching. The religious Right, however, became infuriated at the commercial.
Franklin Graham, son of renowned televangelist Billy Graham, thought the commercial was the proverbial sign of the end times.
“How can we fight the tide of moral decay that is being crammed down our throats by big business, the media, and the gay & lesbian community?” he said. “Every day it is something else!”
Former members of Billy Graham’s church have criticized Franklin for being a scam artist, which he is. In March, Franklin said that Obama’s mom “must have been a Muslim.”
