Glenn Beck really doesn’t want gay people to get married in America. In fact, he’s ready to go to just about any length to keep it from becoming the law of the land or to have gay marriage pushed into “our” churches.

On his show, he said:

We are no longer a country that I recognize. We are no longer a people that I recognize. We are no longer a people that I recognize. We are no longer a nation in which I care to call myself a member of. We’ve become a place where our citizenship is more of an indictment than an honor … We are a country that has not only lost its way, but history will show that we have lost our ever-loving minds.

In that failure of us as a nation, however, Beck sees an opportunity for the government to continue shoving “terrible” things down our nation’s throat.

If you think there is trouble now, what happens when the Supreme Court decides to say that homosexual marriage is the law of the land? Will this administration then force our churches to comply? Will you be forced to violate your own faith? We must together wake the most powerful force on earth – the people of God. Together we can be an army of good.

So Beck wants to position himself as the godsend to set it all right. He wants to be the Martin Luther King, Jr. of gay hate.

I’m going to begin… where Martin Luther King began. On 8/28, I’m going to be in Birmingham, Alabama in a church just down the street from the building began his historic stand against Bull Connor… We are going to begin to gather like-minded people and we are going to begin to train ourselves for non-violent resistance and civil disobedience. We’re going to begin to train ourselves for boycotts and sit-ins. We’re going to do all of the things that we thought were too radical or too hippy-like to do because we have to understand that we are now David and Goliath has all of the power. But we all know how that story ends.

Watch.
