Fast-track authority for President Obama’s disastrous trade agenda was passed in the Senate yesterday. After it passed the Senate, the White House posted this tweet.
The most progressive trade deal ever? Are they kidding? Congressional progressives are the ones who have been fighting Obama’s trade agenda tooth and nail from day one. The strongest support comes from Republicans.
This is a disaster. If the Obama administration thinks the Trans-Pacific Partnership is the “most progressive” trade deal, we are in a lot of trouble.
