A Colorado police officer with a history of violence pleaded guilty to third degree assault after being recorded while beating a restrained detainee, reported RawStory.
Federal Heights Officer Mark Magness was recorded by his own body camera beating and kicking a handcuffed suspect. The assault began while Magness was removing the victim from a police car and continued until he reached the inside of the police station. Magness’ attacks caused the victim to bleed profusely.
Magness dug his fingers into the victim’s eyes and temple while he and another officer secured the victim to a chair.
“We’re going to need medical,” said the second officer.
“I don’t care, strap him to the chair,” responded Magness.
