Adding to the saga of police brutality in America, a white Mississippi cop strangled a black man to death during an arrest. The officer, Kevin Herrington, choked and killed Jonathan Sanders in Stonewall, Mississippi. Herrington took Sanders to the ground while choking him with his flashlight. According to Stewart Parish, the Sanders family’s attorney, Sanders said “I can’t breath,” before dying.

How many black people must die at the hands of violent cops before the problem stops?
