The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) awarded Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) with its annual Congressional Award. The award is given to one senator or representative in recognition of that recipient’s contributions to American veterans. Sanders realizes the tremendous sacrifice made by our veterans. What’s more, he realizes the government’s responsibility to these veterans. Make that one more bullet point on Sanders’ already-impressive resume for president.
