The campaign of Republican hate machine Donald Trump tweeted a promotional photo of himself that also contained an image of Nazi soldiers with the hashtag #MakeAmericaGreatAgain, reported RawStory.

After several people complained that Nazi soldiers should not be America’s future, Trump’s campaign removed the tweet. But the power of the internet prevailed as several people created screengrabs of the tweet. More internet sleuthing determined that the image of the soldiers was a stock photo taken at a World War II reenactment near Kent, England. Trump’s campaign responded to the massive screw up with a statement.

“Mr. Trump has been in Charlottesville, Virginia all day at the opening of a development,” said the statement. “A young intern created and posted the image and did not see the very faded figures within the flag of the stock photo. The intern apologized and immediately deleted the tweet.”

Trump’s campaign has been a public relations trainwreck of epic proportions. Ever since he called Mexican immigrants “rapists,” things have gone horribly for The Donald.
