At a recent event in the Southern U.S., president Obama was greeted by a cadre of angry old white guys waving Confederate Flags. This was their response to the recent decision by Southern states to remove the flag from statehouses and public areas. But it also represents the deeper, racial resentment that is still too prevalent in the South.
