Senator Bernie Sanders and Representative Keith Ellison are each co-sponsoring legislation in their respective Chambers that would raise the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour. This is the largest proposed increase in the minimum wage, and would be a great step to bringing millions of American workers out of poverty. But Republicans won’t let this happen without a fight, so be prepared to hear the same lies about the economy once this legislation gets moving.
