CNN contributor and former NYPD detective Harry Houck said that “arrogance” is the reason that Sandra Bland was killed in police custody. This is wrong. Arrogance didn’t kill Bland. Had it not been for the overzealousness and unprofessionalism of the officer, Bland would still be alive.
