Just when you think there is no way for a member of the GOP to be more offensive, another one comes forward to lower the bar. This time it’s Republican presidential candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
“This president’s foreign policy is the most feckless in American history,” Huckabee said Saturday in a Breitbart News interview that aired on a Sirius XM radio channel. “It is so naive that he would trust the Iranians. By doing so, he will take the Israelis and march them to the door of the oven,” referring to how millions of Jews were slaughtered during the Holocaust.
Why is it that the GOP constantly compares the ideologies and actions of President Obama and Progressives like Bernie Sanders to Adolph Hitler and the NAZI regime? It’s very simple. It’s the identical approach that has been taken by every fascist regime attempting to gain power. That is, spew a hateful, intolerant ideology based on “traditional” values in the name of nationalism, all with the purpose of manufacturing an artificial fear-based conflict they claim best able to resolve.
