During Sunday’s edition of Meet the Press, Sara Fagen, a former Bush administration aide, claimed that the Democratic party is being “drug” further to the left that the right has “drug” the Republican party. The discussion went so far as to claim that the Left has become more extreme than the Right.
Chuck Todd: Do you think [Bernie Sanders’ campaign is] dragging [Hillary Clinton] to the left in a bad way?
Fagen: I think it’s dragging her to the left. The reality is if you look back in the last twenty years, the left of the Democratic Party has moved farther than the right of the Republican Party.
