Tea Party Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) is truly something else. His fight against marriage equality is a losing battle, but he still keeps fighting and throwing around flamboyant, anti-gay rhetoric. His latest argument against gay marriage involved a scenario where gay couples are put on an island.
In his small mind, Gohmert’s thinks that because gay people can’t repopulate, placing them on an island should prove that gay marriage is wrong. “Take four all-male couples and put them on an island with all they need to sustain life, take four couples of women, married, and put them on an island, and let’s come back in 100 to 200 years and see which one nature says is the preferred marriage,” said Gohmert.
