Conservatives in Congress have tried very hard to turn the nuke deal with Iran into a political talking point. They’ve been successful, in that most Republicans now believe that the deal is the result of “weak” negotiating and that the deal practically hands Iran the path to making a nuclear weapon. Ignoring that every bit of what they believe isn’t true, they still refuse to acknowledge that other than this deal, the only alternative is war with Iran.
That’s a very bad idea.
