Chris Christie, a current Republican candidate for president in 2016, has no qualms about stating his clear disdain for the National Teachers Union. Christie goes so far in this interview with CNN as to say the Teachers Union is the single most destructive force in public education in America, and the organization deserves to be “punched in the face.”
Christie claims that the reason he feels so strongly about this is because he believes the union is only out to increase the benefits of the teachers. In his view, the union has no concerns for the actual education of children and youth in America.
