Morris Dees, Founder and Chief Trial Counsel of the Southern Poverty Law Center, won a case against the Ku Klux Klan in 1981. That case left the hate group in crippling financial ruin. Ever since, the KKK has failed to emerge as more than a shadow of its former self.
