The key to any successful conservative endeavor is fear. If X doesn’t happen, then something horrible will happen to you, those you love, and America will be destroyed. It’s classic GOP fear mongering. Conservatives even do it with something that’s virtually non-existent, like voter fraud. That’s how they get support to pass voter suppression laws that discriminate against minorities. However, most voter fraud is committed by Republicans.
