Considering how terrible Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback (R) is, it’s not too hard to imagine what the black sheep of that family would be like. Enter Brownback’s brother, Jim. According to neighbors of Jim, the governor’s brother is a drunken mess who takes enjoyment out of harassing and stealing from his neighbors.
“Adversaries say he has woven a liquor-infused tapestry of fear colored by intimidation, abuse, and lies,” reported the Topeka Capital-Journal. “The saga features stalking, death threats, trespassing, drive-by gunfire, massive explosions, cattle theft, loan defaults, hit-and-run driving and marital strife.”
That’s a hell of a wrap sheet.
What makes it worse is that Jim thinks he can get away with all this nonsense because his brother is the governor of Kansas. He’s reportedly said that he’s always “one step ahead of the law.” His mugshot begs to differ.
We get that sometimes the brothers of politicians strike the American public as somewhat odd. But Jim Brownback is a buffoonish trainwreck, and the governor isn’t even doing anything about it.
Do something that a politician’s brother would normally do, like start up a beer company.
