Some racist vandals in Palm Bay, Florida burned the N-word into a black man’s front yard with lawn chemicals, reported Talking Points Memo. The victim said he and his family feel threatened by the act.
“I feel like this is a threat to me and my family, so I’m not too happy about it,” said Courtney Gordon. “You can see them [neighbors] slowing down when they go by my house, so everybody’s just driving by and reading it.”
The N-word was burned into Gordon’s front yard in large, three-foot tall letters. Gordon reported the vandalism to the police, but it will be difficult to find a suspect with either a confession or video surveillance evidence. Despite this, Gordon believes he knows who the vandals are.
“I have a feeling of who did it. It’s like a group of them, and I leave them to God,” Gordon said. “I’m a big guy, so they’re not gonna come to me and say that. They did it like the way they did it, behind my back and at night.”
Police in Palm Bay have yet to make any arrests related to this shameful incident.
