In Bexar County, Texas, police are investigating the officer-involved shooting of a 41-year old man, Gilbert Flores, that was caught on video. In the video, it appears that Mr. Flores raised his hands to surrender to police, then the police fired on him anyway.
The man who recorded the video, Michael Thomas, stated. “He put his hands in the air, and they just shot him twice.”
According to CNN, a second video of the incident also exists.
Local news KSAT-12 reported that officers were responding to a domestic disturbance when they encountered Flores who was holding a knife and had injured a woman and a baby. Flores allegedly had resisted both a taser shot and police shields before officers fired on him.
