Mathew Staver, the attorney for Kentucky clerk Kim Davis, is just as insane as Davis is. During a press conference, Staver defended Davis by comparing her to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. when he was detained in a jail in Birmingham.
What’s more, Staver said Davis was innocent of breaking the law and that any marriage licenses issued since her detainment are void because Davis didn’t issue them out herself.
