The supposed Christians of Sterling Heights, Michigan could do well to heed more of the lesson to love thy neighbor. After their city’s planning commission voted 9-0 to deny the building of a Muslim mosque, a gathered crowd of these people cheered loudly. Their message was clear: Muslims are not welcome.
These are the same folks who are crying loudly about “religious freedom” in the case of Kim Davis. They want her to be allowed to deny same-sex couples the right to marry because, according to her, it doesn’t go with her faith.
What this really is, is a group of conservatives coming together to be terrified that something new could enter into what they believe is their small corner of the world.
Even the town’s mayor has made it clear that he sees Muslims as terrorists.
