Scott Walker is feeling the sting in the polls by not playing along with the rest of the mainstream conservatives, like Donald Trump. Walker wants to bust up unions and fight against labor groups while the rest of his party wants to fight against immigrants and start a war with Iran. According to a new poll, it’s put Walker in dead-last place in the Republican field.
According to the poll from Quinnipiac University, “Donald Trump has the support of 27 percent of Iowa likely Republican Caucus participants, with 21 percent for Ben Carson and 9 percent for U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas,” and, “This compares to the Quinnipiac University showing Wisonsin Gov. Scott Walker at 18 percent, with Trump and Carson at 10 percent each.”
Walker thought his message of union busting would resonate with conservatives. He loudly stated his intention to attack labor unions ni Ronald Reagan’s birth town, “On Monday, I will travel to Las Vegas to lay out our big bold ideas to transfer power from the big government union bosses to the hardworking taxpayers. For example, on Day 1, I will stop the government from taking money out of the paychecks of federal employees for political union dues. That protects workers from being forced to give money to candidates they don’t support.”
But the polls show that Walker’s calculation of Republicans as more eager to fight unions than immigrants was dead wrong.
