Much of the GOP base liked Donald Trump until they began actually hearing how much of a racist and bigot he really is, and coming to the realization that he cannot win the White House.
The most current national survey shows Donald still leading the GOP candidates, but his support has fallen 8 points to 24%, rather than 32% from a poll just a few weeks ago. The new rising star is Carly Fiorina who now is polling in second place at 15%, with Ben Carson at 14%. This means the top three GOP candidates have never held office. In fourth place is Marco Rubio with 11%.
It will be interesting to watch how Trump’s uncontrollable ego deals with this recent public rejection of him.
