Conservatives will not relent in their attempts to attack Pope Francis. While the pope has been outspoken on the need to address climate change, Republicans continue to claim that Pope Francis should be ignored because he isn’t a scientist. This is exactly what Jeb Bush said recently on the campaign trail when he claimed that the pope should be ignored.
These conservatives couldn’t be more wrong. Pope Francis has a degree in chemistry and worked in a chemistry lab before he joined the Catholic Church.
That won’t stop conservative Republicans like Jeb from making up lies to try and undermine Pope Francis. The pope preaches caring for the poor and tending to our planet. Republicans cannot stand that sort of thing.
