Just when you thought it couldn’t get worse for the GOP in regard to their image, it has. Now Fox News is jumping them as a bunch of unconcerned, inhumane, hypocrites.

This all occurred yesterday on Fox and Friends when Brian Kilmeade and legal analyst Peter Johnson, Jr. blasted congressional Republicans for their refusal to renew the Zadroga Act, which funds long-term health care for 9/11 survivors and first responders.

Johnson made the following statements in regard to the present GOP politicians:

Congress is leaving our heroes to die. We’re leaving them for dead on the battlefield. We’re leaving the first responders in the hospital wards of America.

. . .

[The GOP is not funding this] because we have lip service to 9/11, we have lip service to this flag. Maybe they think it is a New York thing, that it is some form of welfare, some form of entitlement.

. . .

Ted Cruz will talk about first responders and how important they are and will condemn ‘Black Lives Matter’ and say that all lives matter … but Congress has the right and responsibility to act and they are sitting on their hands — the republicans are missing in action.

Johnson even pointed out that President Obama wants to sign it, and that this is solely a Republican issue. Fox News then asks its audience to call their congressional representatives and complain.
