Sarah Palin’s Alaska has a new distinction. It’s the only state in the United States that saw its poverty rate go up last year. The rate jumped from 9.3% in 2013 to 11.2% in 2014. Alaska also experienced an increase in its child poverty rate, going from 12.1% to 15.8%.
Maybe if Alaska could learn to adopt more Progressive policies they would no longer be competing with Mississippi as to which state can provide the very least for its citizens.
